Director/screenwriter Stuart R. Wahlin has issued a call for actors for a short film adaptation of my vampire novel, Fiona’s Guardians. We’ll be paying special attention to suitable actors auditioning to play the blood-drinking Fiona, her main guardian Daniel, another vampire named Søren, and Wolf, a guardian-in-training.

There are also three supporting roles, plus a handful of extras. To get a sense of the director’s vision of this film, here’s a teaser/trailer he put together.

Below you’ll find details of what Stuart and I, author of the adapted novel, are looking for:

Synopsis: Daniel is eager to retire from serving as the caretaker of a 250-year-old vampire named Fiona. But first, he’ll need to find a suitable candidate to be her new guardian. He recruits a college dropout named Wolf to be his successor, and prepares the young protégé for the dark world he’s about to enter.

Production Dates: T/B/D — 2023
Location: Rockford, IL and surrounding area

Casting: Stuart R. Wahlin, director, and Dan Klefstad, writer.
