An author says goodbye to Chicago/Rockford — for now

My impending move to “Kentuckiana” will change how I interact with many readers of my vampire novel, Fiona’s Guardians. For one thing, I won’t schedule any in-person events in northern Illinois for quite some time. I have a sequel to write, plus I’ll need to arrange bookstore appearances in my new hometown of Louisville.

What does this mean for readers in my old stomping grounds? Virtual events remain an option, and I can easily see Zoom appearances with book clubs that have questions about my characters or certain scenes. For those wanting an autographed copy, I’ll be happy to mail one if you include extra for postage. Of course, I’ll remain available for interviews.

I do have one final event in the Chicago suburbs on Independent Bookstore Day, Saturday, April 29. I’ll be at Harvey’s Tales in Geneva, IL, signing paper- and hardcover copies of my novel. That’s at 216 James St. from 10am-2pm. It would be great to see you as I prepare for the big move.

To the bookstore owners who took a chance on Fiona’s Guardians: Thank you for ordering my book and inviting me to read and sign copies in your shop. I hope to return in the not-too-distant future. And to readers: Please stay in touch on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter. You can also leave a message here. I look forward to sharing news about the sequel when it’s ready.
